Cakes De Fleur

I am so thrilled!!! Nate and I had the most wonderful cake tasting experience! After getting an outrageous price quote for my fairytale cake... I knew I had to look elsewhere... my mother suggested I contact Cakes De Fleur. Since I can't take a trip to SLC without picking up a couple of these cakes, I knew I had to have them make my wedding cake. The taste of wedding cake is one of the most important parts of your wedding! I am already stressed that I will only get the tiny little bite Nate gives me!

Cakes De Fleur worked with me to help create the perfect cake for the wedding day at a very reasonable price!! I am excited. Both Nate and I scarfed down every last crumb and I walked out of there so happy with the decision I had made!

Laurlee helped me with my ideas and I am totally confident that it will not only be the best tasting wedding cake ever, it will look great too!! You can pick up these delightful treasures at The Store or Emigration Market! Enjoy the yummy taste of a fresh baked homemade cake...

Deck the House

I have the most amazing sisters!! They threw me a gorgeous, too good to be true Bridal Shower! With my closest friends and all the girls who matter most to me. The table was decorated gorgeous (with little birds in the arrangements!) and the food was so yummy!! Thanks to everyone who came and to my sisters and mom for making it so perfect... down to the invitations! Here are some pictures from the perfect day :)

Girls Weekend In NYC

Last weekend we celebrated Girls Weekend in NYC... We invited all the Cannon girls, along with girls that could be Cannon's one day. Out of them all... Emily, Emilee, Emily, Jenny, Ellie and I all joined in the festivities. Mom, Meghan, Chloe, Courtney, Sarajane, Maddie and Lulu were all missed terribly.

I would love to say that this weekend was jam packed with fun, shopping, great food and laughs... but I was sick the entire time and I think I bummed everyone out. While they all waited in line at Pink Berry, I sprawled out in a tiny doorway clenching my stomach and complaining... I was happy to come face to face with the man who lives through this tiny doorway. He told me that drunks like to urinate where I was sitting. I didn't budge.

Although I was sick, it was SO fun to laugh with the girls. Shopping was fun. And I found a very fabulous dress at Bergdorfs. Now I'm debating if brocade is appropriate for a summer rehearsal dinner... hmm... thoughts?

Tomorrow I leave for SLC!! Lot's of wedding things to do. First things first... my appointment to get my hair bleached out from Breck!

Perfect Pair

Nate and I really are a perfect pair. We are old a lot that we seem like best buddies and that we look like we just love to hang out with each other. This is all true... But in all honesty, there are SO many things we just don't have in common... for example:

These are some of Nate's favorite foods:

chicken crouton casserole
steak
mt dew
brownie sundaes with hot fudge

This is my list (some) of my favorite foods:

Anything with Butter
Abby's Mashed Potatoes... with mom's gravy, mom's mashed potatoes, balsamic vinegar, and tomatoes
Rice Krispie Treats!!!!Homemade Caramels
Mom's Poppyseed Cake with LOTS of icing
Mom's Cinnamon Rolls
I like aunt Robyn's chicken things with a lot of the mustard sauce
Good salads with vinegary dressing or lemon juice
Vinegar
Chang's Spicy Chicken
Lobster
Polenta
Vegetables with dip
Fruit with dip
Brownie sundaes with hot fudge
Root Beer Floats
Pellegrino Sparkling Water
Caramel Apple Cider

Crystal
Light Raspberry Ice
Hot Chocolate
Fresca

Cake from Cakes De Fleur

Nate scored a 36 in the math section of his ACT... I don't think my score is even the sum of 3 and 6... but who really cares?

Nate had one job in college, he worked at Western Corrections.
I worked at my Dad's office, PF Changs, MSNBC (for the Olympics,) Mikado, Abercrombie, Pottery Barn, The Broiler, Skywest Airlines (the worst job ever!,) Challenger... and I'm sure there are some random ones I am forgetting. Needless to say, Nate is much more committed than I am :)

Nate is OBSESSED with cars. Our computers have two completely different bookmark tabs... his are weird car forums, The Drudge Report and more weird car forums. Mine are wedding blogs, fashion sites (style.com) Foxnews and lots of celebrity gossip pages...

I could go on and on... we both like wakeboarding and hot fudge sundaes, boats and the water, so we'll be just fine ;)

An American Bride Through Paris

I am completely inspired by these photographs!! I love all the clothes and I think the model looks gorgeous! I found these on the JuneBug Wedding Blog. Some of the pictures are a little wild... but the clothes are just gorgeous!
