There's No Place Like Home
I landed in SLC yesterday and was thrilled to walk into my parent's perfect house. It smelled good and everything looked fabulous. Every time I go home, the beds look more tantalizing, the food smells better, the decorations are sparkling more and I feel like I never want to leave. I am so lucky to come back to such a wonderful home! My home holds so many important memories to me. I am sure anyone who knows me, realizes that my family is the most important thing and we have created so many great memories. So, it is particularly wonderful that for the first time in several years, my whole family will be around when Sam gets home from his mission this month. I couldn't be more excited.
The picture above is Sam's room as of today. Currently, my mom is having the daisy wallpaper from 1970 stripped from the closet, which is being repainted and redone. What a wonderful mom! A darling missionary only deserves the BEST!

Confessions of a Shopaholic
Do you know what this picture represents?
This picture represents the greatest fictional heroin of all time, Rebecca Bloomwood! She is the ultimate shopaholic and the girl every girl wants to be!! Well... most of us!
I love Becky, because she makes me laugh out loud! And I can absolutely relate to her! As can most girls... and her love interest, Luke Brandon is perfection! Sophie Kinsella's fabulous books will make you laugh, stay up late and read and actually hope and possibly one day get endless shopping sprees (for you and baby), traveling exotic places (and furnishing your home with foreign treasures from these places) and fabulous, luxurious surprises and excitement everyday for the rest of your life!
I just saw that this movie will be released February 13th, 2009! And unless Nate surprises me with tickets to London for the premier (I'm assuming it will take place in Becky and Luke's hometown) I will be throwing the ultimate Confessions of a Shopaholic premier PARTY! And if you live in Cali, ali, ali... you are invited! This won't be a jeans and t-shirt sort of gig... Fashionistas... start your search!
Three cheers for Isla Fisher for landing the best dang role a gal can get!

Meeting The Man Of Her Dreams
My mom met George W. the other day at an event with Mitt Romney. My dad told him of my mom's adoration. He kissed her on the forehead, she went back to her table, cried and she compared it to meeting Jesus. She really is his biggest fan and has always adored him. It is important to support the President of our Country, even if you don't agree with him.
My mom and dad both said he was eloquent and funny. My mom has said multiple times that one day people will realize all of the good things W has done for the country. Anyway George, The Cannons support you and your decisions! Thanks for keeping us safe!
